If you believe that your success depends on your immigration process - whether it's the ability to file I-485 earlier or to get green-card and citizenship sooner or whether it's the ability of your spouse to work - then you have to believe that your success somehow depends on the success of Immigration voice and these 170 volunteers in DC next week.
As you may know, we are just one more week away from hosting Advocacy day in Washington DC where about 170 members of Immigration Voice will conduct nearly 250 meetings with offices of Senators and Congressmen. Such events cost money. If we have enough contributions, we can spend as per our budget of nearly $ 50,000. If not, we will have to cut back on the event spending and reduce the magnitude and size of the event.
If you are not coming to DC next week, please do your part and contribute funds to Immigration Voice. It not only finances the event properly, it instills pride and confidence in the members who will be there in DC that there are thousands of willing supporters behind them who could not be there physically but are 100% with them in their determination and resolve.

there is no difference between online and regular MBA. some universities who have bith , do not even differentiate it in the diploma. for experiance people who add a MBA it has some value if they seek higher position. if you go on to to brick school you could get selected in campus interviews but the position is also lower

On March 30 I had a soft LUD on my 485 and then on Apr9 my attorney recd an RFE.in my case the RFE went only to the attorney.
Maybe they just forget to update the status on the case :confused:

i sorted based on application mailed date , all are pending !!
the mailed date was recently added as a column.. till now ppl were using receipt date column as application reached.. wait till fp dates and notice dates get populated...the earliest i have seen is for ppl current in june who have a receipt date of 06/29

What is obvious is either you have been sleeping all thru or you are new to IV. Aman has made atleast 25-30 trips to DC in last18-20 months isnt it obvious that its a typo..

Wow, you must have written some letter... This is the first time that i have heard someone getting a call about NC from the presidents office.
You are right.. I got a call this Wednesday from the Presidents office of initiating an inquiry on my case and again a repeated call from them on Friday that FBI Name Check has been cleared. I forgot to mention this detail in my excitement.

Company A applied for my labor and I140(approved and Active currently) in 2005. Moved to company C in April 2007(H1 transfer), applied for I485 using Company A's EVL in July 2007. I got a 485 RFE now for EVL. Can I now say that I have used AC 21 by sending relevant documents or should I send EVL from Company A?
Forum Gurus - I got a denial letter on my 485. I am a July 2007 filer and applied for AOS in July 2007. My 140 was revoked by ex employer in August 2008 and immediately I got a NOID from USCIS and responded to it in a timely manner and my case processing resumed.
But now, I got a denial stating that my 140 has been revoked in August 2008 and thats why my 485 is denied. My Attorney is filing for MTR and says it is a mistake on their side and will be resolved through MTR.
It just baffles me that the person who sent the denial letter never looked into the system to see my case trail and blindly issued the denial notice. My Attorney says, it is very much possible that they do not look at RFEs or responses - they just issue denials when they browse through the 140s.
I am EB2 India with a priority date of March 2006. I think some kind of pre assessment is going on. There are no LUDs and mine is at the TSC.
Is there anyone else in the same boat? How long does it take for MTR to get processed?

Memos are for interpretation of laws by USCIS. Any memo is advisory in nature and does not have force of law. These memos, unless challenged and turned downed by court or withdrawn, are valid.
Your saying that memo is illegal does not mean anything more than your personal opinion.
H-1B petitions have denied in past based on employer-employee relationship, unable to specify duties at end client, and self employment cases. If you are interested, let me know, I will put links here.
PS: This does not mean that I personally agree/disagree with the memo. This is just to show the legal aspect of it.

The only difference this time is, it has come in the form of a memo. It is in fact a blessing in disguise. AILA has some reference document against which they can fight in court and get it overturned permanently.

Lou Dobbs was in Orange County this weekend as a Keynote speaker at the The World Affairs Council of Orange County. He launched into his usual vitriolic diatribe, there were many business leaders at the forum and he ended up polarizing the crowd. Some felt that he is all talk with no practical real life experience managing companies, his ideas are over the top and cannot be implemented. He never ran or lead a fortune 500 company or held a major political office, yet he critiqued the very organizations who sponsored tables for this dinner. A few did get carried away by his speech, i have to say that the crowd at the back was cheering wildly for him while the executives in the front were subduded. You can keep your PD if your 140 is approved from your current employer. I know of a person who did this succesfully.
Can you please elaborate on how this can be achieved? I curently have an approved 140 and am stuck in EB3 retrogression.
