This is more close to reality. There could not be many left in 2001. I would put 2001 pending cases to be close to 2000. In 2002 and 2003 nobody cared about EB2 or EB3. What ever the lawyer said, people agreed. So the numbers for 2002 and 2003 could be even higher than 20000 each. One solace is that many people may have migrated to EB2 using a second labor.

I am settng up tea stall at Asian Festival(just for fun) , i will give all my profit to IV. Approx. 20,000 people visit the festival so i should be able to make atleast $200-300 profit with my tea stall.

What is this reverse brain drain ? there is no such thing - folks who are here are going to hang on tooth & nail to stay here come hell or high water - the only ones who are going back are the ones who have no other option. That is not true. In fact I would say that many people who leave have lot of guts. they may have other priorities like family, social etc. I know many naturalized US citizens who have sold their homes and are / about to go back. some IITians left because of green card issues (one of my friend tried to apply ..company was laying off H1B's ..he moved to NY financial company and now is in India at higher post. in the end it is priorities that you have in life.

My wife couldn't do TB test since she was pregnant when we filed I-485 in Aug 2007. Now she is in India and be back only in the first week of June. If we receive an RFE for her TB test ( my PD is EB3-I Oct 2003), can we request an extension for RFE? Is that possible?

On a different note, you can file claims till 24 months after the accident and if any of the victims are minor, they can file a claim(medical/emotional blah blah) till they turn 18(if I remember correctly).

It reminds me this story every time I visit IV.
Workers working with an export company which use to ship chickens from all over the world to US/Europe, were packing chickens from some Indian port. Each box was having some 50-70 chickens in it .

Are you guys getting any kind of numbers back from paypal, on what is the kind of spike that you are seeing in terms of # of people contributing in the last few weeks?

Are you sure your namecheck is pending? How?
Do you have any written proof?
If there is no arrest record or any suspicious item in your application, your application may have been picked up randomly for interview. IV had worked on Namecheck issue in the past and namechecks should not be taking more than 6 months except very very few cases.

I understand that IV has purchased a system (used at other places also). It may not be possible to configure it according to every requirement.
I don't think IV has the source code for the system. Even if they have the source code, it will take a while to modify it according to all requirements.

The VB mentions that dates will revert back to the June bulletin and the current says that they may retrogress. We are being too optimistic. before people start the bashing, i am EB3 retrogressed and have sent emails and letters about this issue, still waiting for a response. A query to my congressman came back with more spin about national security and how they are comitted to meaningful immigration policy, nothing from the letters to Rep. logfren and USCIS. Oct VB will be an eye opener for us as well as other EB2's and EB 3 ROWs.

I am 2007 PD EB3. I know i am screwed :-) , but our discussing out unfortunate luck here , wont change it.
I am not even dreaming about my GC. I am just enjoying my life today, as i have no control over tomorrow. The irony , i was qulaified for EB2, but my lawyer didnt want to do an extra work(BS + 7 Years) , so he put me in EB3.
Let EB2 get there GC's first , and may be the illegals also get it before EB3, I really dont know the point of discussion of this thread.
Thank God somebody didnt write , thats its really unfortunate that we were born in India.
