First and foremost, a Big THANK YOU to all the IV core team who along side their full time jobs were working behind the scenes in getting this done and having to go through the hecklers and naysayers.
A big thank you to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren in helping pass all the pain and outrage of legal immigrants to the people incharge and making them listen.
Also last but not the least, every active member of IV who participated in the flower campaign, in San Jose rally and in actively informing media on IV projects to showcase legal immigration issues. And for keeping saner heads in the insane times.

Original Poster should not have sensationalised this memo. If at all this 'news' is true -this may be just something so-called internal matter. Best interpretion of this 'news' is: They may have assigned available visa#s to approvable petitions just as they did before 2nd July07 bulletin, where people kept getting approvals well into Oct07.
So, ALL THE BEST to lucky ones who are 'pre-adjudicated'. How else you can explain Sep VB, which is yet to start from 9/1.
All I did was posting it in August EB2 India/China approvals thread about what I read and heard from an IO. Just to inform people. This visas are not available only for India/China and not for other countries????
If people think it is not appropriate, the admins can delete all the related posts and threads.

I knew your efforts will be great but did not think it will be this big.
I am happy, delighted and overwhelmed.
But I am little bit sad that other developing countries will be loosing their best sons who could contribute so much to their motherland.
Fight is not over till we get our GC.
Core IV team, please prepare to face the next hurdles like AOS/AP/FBI Checks etc.,

Received receipt notice on 30/04/2007 which mentioned RFE mailed on 30/04/2007, however till date the lawyers have received nothing, does it take that long for the RFE to reach the lawyers??? its already been 13 days...Please respond...

your immagination/calculation might be true.....so what?? Havnt we seen a lot of posting about what mischief is being done by a handful?? why do we spend our time on analysing that? IV shouldn't be a website where I log in in the morning and find what all mischief is happening or happened or will happen. There are mischief makers and let the law deal with them. we are a group of straightforward individuals who wish to concenterate on fighting the injustice of the extreme delays. If there was a mischief the USCIS is supposed to catch them and fix it. it is not allowed to delay yours/ mine just because a few others did something wrong. Please concentrate on today and tomorrow. Plan for a new line of action and we will join.

Our Goal for this event was $50000 and so far we did not even raise 20k. We are approximately 60% under target. We won't be able to have another event like this if we go down this path. The last thing we want to happen is our efforts to stall due to lack of dollars. it would undo everything we have done in the past 4.5 years

There may be others that paid and did not post,
some members have been doing that
Good progress- the drought for contributions to iv is hopefully over,
but we are not there yet. We need EVERY active member to contribute at least $20, remember there are not that many active people here.
It's very encouraging to see that some of the contributions are from recent members. Maybe pappu can let us know at some point how much this campaign has collected so far.
If you are reading this and still watching from the sidelines: please join us. Contribute and add members. IF we are ALL involved, success will come. it's just a matter of time and patience.

As i said earlier, i relied too much on my employer as istated to him in the first place to do a change of status Visa. They didn't do it, and as i was under the impression that i didn't have to go to India to get it stamped, i didn't leave the country so far and worked all these days. The ugly thing is that even my employer didn't ask me to go to India and get my Visa stamped in India, but he did find projects for me and produced pay slips all the time so far. Now, i found out the mess i am in, that too because i was ready to apply for I-140 and I-485 together. The immigration attorney who is preparing my I-140 caught my out of status situation and all the hell broke lose. Is there a way to seek an adjustment n my status from INS based on the fact that i was eligible for Chnage of Status from L-1 to H-1 in 2005, but mistakenly, i got a H-1 that was supposed to be stamped? Would they consider any such cases? Is there any example of anybody whoever did it???
And even if i leave the country now, would i face any problem in next three years, if i attempt to come to USA on a new H1 next year, with a new Visa?
Please provide me some advice if anyone knew any situation like this before?

Best thing to do is stay here till your visa extension is due,and apply for extension from here,you will get new 194 with your extension if its approved.

Granted you scored a point when you were allowed to file for employment authorization this July. If your one rally worked, do you really think other rallies will work too? The world of politics is driven by numbers; you do not have enough numbers to get any lawmaker interested. So wake up Macacas, admit it, you all are bunch of losers.
So far as the skills are concerned, you have been harping on the theme that you are highly skilled? If the definition of highly skilled is a mere undergrad degrees then 75% of Adult Americans are highly skilled. I bet not even 5% of you have PHDs and you call yourself highly skilled. Huhhh
And this for the leadership of your organization: You are wasting your time. If you are so desperate to get green cards contact me. We will see what we can do… One thing I believe though is this country needs people with leadership skills and not so called "Highly Skilled". So I will be more than happy to work with you. I am sure you have my e-mail address. At the least, I can help make the process faster for you, if so called visa numbers are available.

"Numbers are the only thing that matter"................wrong again. Numbers and economic clout. If you doubt this then just have a look at how the lobbying industry works and what motivates them. The current and future economic clout of this community as well as its contribution to the economic infrastructure far exceeds the numbers. The point is this community has skills that are in demand, here, in Canada in the UK and elsewhere. Only narrow minded bigots like you can't understand that. Fortunately you and your ilk is in a minority in this much more enlightened country.

Stop degrading yourself in such a pathetic way. You forefathers who struggled so hard to arrive here would have wanted better for you.
