Seems like everyone here hates ICICI... I have been using ICICI for 8 yrs now...Had no issues transferring money..... They might have robbed me few paisa from exchange rate but i did not pay that close attention as i found that exchange rate at remit2india from times and Citi was always bad compared to ICICI. I do know about their bad practices in India where they force people to have min balance of 10-15 K and so forth. I think its time that RBI makes gets rid of min balance requirement or put upper ceiling on it. Having such a large sum (Equivalent to 2K USD when considered Purchase power parity) is ridiculous and kind of stealing of people's hard earned money. But again, ICICI is not the only one doing it so cant single them out.
After reading so many bad reviews about ICICI, i would like to check out SBI service, but not sure if they allow direct deposit in banks other than SBI? my parents are with IDBI so it is very convenient to have ICICI transfer money directly....Please advise

I have very high regards for Aman due to his dedicated efforts. 64K he spent is the big big amount as an individual.
I suggest, lets have a request to Bollywood artist to organize some shows at USA in benefit of IV (they may give us some discount). We shall pay back 63K to Aman (IV can keep 1k as his contribution).
Other option is 630 people should contribute $100 each to pay back Aman. I received my green card and ready to contribute $100 to this account. I already contributed $700.

Ok. I agree with everything you say but you still haven't explained why EB-2 China hasn't moved. They never were Unavailable, which means they haven't used their quota but are still retrogressed. Why absolutely no relief for them? Not even a month forward movement?
Here is my theory and I may be wrong. Until last month China EB-2 was still not U. Maybe over this month (March) the usage of EB-2 China was so high that they were at the verge of U or maybe something like 12/01/2002. So now when the excess EB-2 visas from ROW are getting spilled over to oversubscribed countries, i.e., China and India, both of them are and will be, going forward, moving at the same pace.
As I said just a theory. Let's wait for a better explanation.

They specifically talk about the USCIS filing fees and not their fees. they have assured me that they will only charge once for filing.

Very wise of you Nitin. I doubt that anyone in this forum disagrees with what you have said.
But I also believe that IV members are here to address some issues confronting them re the GC processing. I would focus on things that need doing - the core agenda - not on fraud committed by some handful of persons, and who has got his/her spouse a job where. These are not issues that concern us - there are enough crabs in the anti-basket to bring legal immigrants down - its a stunning revelation that USCIS can at random hike fees, lengthen process, and leave legal immigrants in a limbo for years on end. Indeed the system is so incoherent that to this day they are unable to give us a reply on waiting times and our place in the line. I prsonally have yet to see such an ill-defined and poorly organized immigration system anytwhere in the world. Every nation - be it Canada, Australia, NZ, or UK have a clear outline and timeline as to fees, waiting periods, rights and responsbilities of people in the line to immigrate - be it for PR or citizenship. And this is the very least we too can expect of the US immigration system. A big push is needed for immigration reform for legal immigrants. And we are not likely to get anywhere if our focus will be on issues that are raised in anti-immigration forums. This is not to say these issues do not exist - the point I am trying to make is that they are NOT OUR issues.
We only need to focus on the positive. The contributions of the genuine, law-abiding majority of legal H1B who come from many nations across the world and get stuck for years on an artificially created queue. The fact that we have come here on an H1 B visa which by law allowed us to file for a GC. The issue @ hand is waiting time, and associated concerns, an attempt to end retrogression, remove per country limits or at least align them with H!B intake numbers, and recapture of visa numbers. Many of us have lived here 7+ years, have put down some roots, and would like to see some positive end to this frustraing wait. We also need to Q the DHS and CIS process why we are indefinately funding the CIS and seeing no result to our cases. No one likes their life to be held up and that is why we need to get together to end this unfair wait.
To Core: I would argue that the issues that need to be fixed re GC for legal EB immigrants are issues of PROCESS not POLICY. Yes, these issues are often rolled into a bundle and presented as policy - I would argue that they need to be DELINKED from CIR and such like that focus on policy based issues regarding illegal immigrants. This nation already has a policy to allow people to immigrate legally - the problems are in the proces of executing that policy. That and that alone needs to be our focus.

I am 2007 PD EB3. I know i am screwed :-) , but our discussing out unfortunate luck here , wont change it.
I am not even dreaming about my GC. I am just enjoying my life today, as i have no control over tomorrow. The irony , i was qulaified for EB2, but my lawyer didnt want to do an extra work(BS + 7 Years) , so he put me in EB3.
Let EB2 get there GC's first , and may be the illegals also get it before EB3, I really dont know the point of discussion of this thread.
Thank God somebody didnt write , thats its really unfortunate that we were born in India.

However please do not make remarks like "this person is here to make money and is not after GC". Are we not all after making money? Is that not why we want GCs? We certainly dont want the GC to frame it and keep it next to our other trophies do we? Then why are people accusing me of wanting to "make money"? The problem with some people on this forum is the lack of respect for an alternate view. It is one thing to disagree and it is another to make ridiculous off topic remarks about what someone said.
